I am not receiving emails or text messages, how can I fix that?
Emails
If an email was sent to you then it will be going to your account, athlete, and guardian emails. You may need to check your spam folder to see if emails are being sent there. Another option is to change one of those email addresses listed above. Yahoo emails and some .net emails block emails from our company. You may also want to make sure that you haven't deactivated emails from your school. To check that, refer to the "How can I stop receiving emails..." FAQ. Here is how to change your email address:
To change the Account email (this would become the new email you would log in with)
- Go to https://www.aktivate.com/
- Click Login to Register
- Log in with your email/username and password.
- Click "Account Info" in the upper right hand corner of the page
- Change the email address
- Click "Save" at the bottom of the screen
- Type in the verification code (that is sent to your new email) and then you're email has been updated
To change the Athlete email
- Go to https://www.aktivate.com/
- Click Login to Register
- Log in with your email/username and password.
- Open on the Parent Portal by clicking "Click here to start/complete athlete registrations"
- Select "Navigation" on the left side
- Click on the athlete's name
- Click on the applicable school's name if multiple schools open up.
- Click the Athlete Summary bar, under the "Athlete Profile" section.
- Select Edit
- Fill in or edit the email section with the athlete's email address
- Check the box that says you will keep the information current
- Click Submit
To Change Guardian 1 or 2 email
- Go to https://www.aktivate.com/
- Click Login to Register
- Log in with your email/username and password.
- Open on the Parent Portal by clicking "Click here to start/complete athlete registrations"
- Select "Navigation" on the left side
- Click on the athlete's name
- Click on the applicable school's name if multiple schools open up.
- Click on Guardian 1 or Guardian 2
- Select "Click Here to Edit" in the light gray bar above the athlete name
- Fill in the email section with the email address
- Click Save
Texts
If your athlete is added to a team using Aktivate, the coach can text the team. If you are not getting texts, please check to make sure you have opted in to receiving texts.
To opt in to receiving texts for the account holder:
- Go to https://www.aktivate.com/
- Click Login to Register
- Log in with your email/username and password.
- Click "Account Info" in the upper right hand corner of the page
- Ensure that your cell phone number is listed
- Check the box saying you would like to receive texts. You will also need to select your cell carrier.
- NOTE: If your carrier is not displayed then please contact us and we will see what we can do to help
- Click Submit at the bottom of the page
To opt in to receive texts for the Athlete:
- Go to https://www.aktivate.com/
- Click Login to Register
- Log in with your email/username and password.
- Open on the Parent Portal by clicking "Click here to start/complete athlete registrations"
- Select "Navigation" on the left side
- Click on the athlete's name
- Click on the applicable school's name if multiple schools open up.
- Click the Athlete Summary bar, under the "Athlete Profile" section.
- Select Edit
- Add or edit the athlete's phone number.
- Check the box that says you would like to receive texts.
- Select a carrier if applicable.
- Check the box that says you will keep the information current
- Click Submit
